WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO YOU?
Joe Champa, with knowledge that he was NOT representing National Captioning Institute (NCI)-NABET members in their contract negotiations, met secretly with NCI management for dinner in mid-December, 1998.
This secret meeting was not reported by Joe Champa to either the NCI Executive Board representative or to Trustee Bill Bryan.
On February 11, 1999, NCI management disclosed this dinner meeting had taken place.
We will never know what deals may have been made to compromise the integrity of current NCI negotiations.
Would you trust Joe Champa with your vote?
If you still think so, consider this. An NCI member called the Local for help on a problem. The NCI negotiating committee was meeting in the next room when Joe Champa took the call. He told the member nothing could be done and never notified the committee, which included the Grievance Chairperson, of the need for help.
If you want NO representation, vote for Champa.
If you want fair, honest, concerned,
HARRY "BUD" FALES
Leslie Gersicoff, National Captioning Institute, Inc. Executive Board Representative.
