Ram Pride 2000

I'm back in action, and it feels good!

Leroy III (1) returns to duty and makes his first play by dropping a Waikele Wildcat runner on their sideline.

Nice pass baby...

Arrin (2) receives a nice pass from Adonay and gets good Ram yardage

It's my last game, and my throwing was pretty good today...

Adonay (7) lets another pass fly today. This guy was a tough cookie, playing most of the year with cracked ribs... He gets the Coachs' tough guy award this year. Great job for a first time QB.

I can't believe he threw the deep pass. Adonay never throws to us deep!

Freddie (33) makes a great spinning catch of Adonay's pass deep in Waikele territory

I'm back in action, and it feels good!

Leroy III (1) takes the steamroller, breaks outside, then decides to head upfield...

Why does my last game of the season show my best runs?

Leroy III (1) on the upfield cut from the photographer's view

I see the end zone!

Leroy III (1) cuts between Arrin (2) and Francis (20) to avoid the linebackers...

Ok, after I shake this guy, I'm gone...

Leroy III (1) makes it through the gauntlet and heads for the end zone...

Whoah, where did he come from... must keep balance...

Leroy III (1) shakes off the linebacker tackle and fights to keep his balance...

Mayday Mayday, I'm going down...

Leroy III (1) loses his fight with gravity and dives for another couple of yards. Great job Jack!

No No No... Can't get past me bud...

Daniel (51) displaying perfect blocking position on his defender. Coach thinks Daniel has some of the best footwork and positioning of any lineman we have ever coached. Great job Danny!

I knew these guys were going to be good sized...

Leroy III (1) takes on the Wildcat QB on another option play

Oh yes... Let me lift your spirits...

Robert (32) de-cleats a Wildcat runner and drops him on his back

You can't stop me if you can't beat me out of the blocks!

Alan (41) attacks his defensive assignment with style

Oh no, you can't go this way...

Arrin (2) shuts down the outside and makes the tackle on the Wildcat QB

Show me the way Freddie

Robert (32) follows Freddie's lead around the right corner

Yo Hawaii, what's up?

Tony (8) joins the game and starts dragging people around like dolls

Something about this field makes me run well...

Tony (8) punches through the defense again for a good pickup behind great blocking

Can't touch this...

Arrin (2) takes a perfect pass from Fausto and goes into the endzone after outrunning the Wildcat defense

I'm getting my block on today...

Jonathan (56) doing a great job keeping the middle sealed from defenders

Throw the ball Nay... I'm wide open!

Sal (5) coming out fast for a tight end post pass play

Fly robin, fly...

Robert (32) fires out and blasts a defensive end taking him off his feet...

Come on... Who wants some?

Michael (73) sets up shop and protects the line of scrimmage

Oh you are so much in trouble...

Arrin (2) surprises the QB with a blind side hit almost causing the fumble

And where do you think you are going?

Carlos (71) runs down a Wildcat at the line of scrimmage

I have this one coach...

Rudy (44) steps up his game and gets a sack

Sorry guys, but I can't let Adonay get dropped like this...

Leroy III (1) makes a split second decision and determines the penalty is less painful than Adonay getting blindsided by a Wildcat rusher... What a clearly visible clip...

Thanks to all of the players for earning Coach this trophy, and to all of the parents for being so great all year long!

Coach Jackson receives the Friendship Bowl trophy, and thanks everyone for contributing to the season. Coach also received the invitation from Waikele to visit them in Hawaii for next year's 3rd Annual Friendship Bowl. South Gate has first dibs on making that trip, so all of you returning Midgets make sure you bug Coach Al and get him working on raising the funds to visit Hawaii, if you don't go to the Super Bowl!

It was a tough but enjoyable season, and as I retire from tackle football, I wish all of my Rams the best in the future. I will make up a stat sheet for you to download so that you can fill it in and keep me posted on how your seasons go. I want to see all of you play, but I can only be in one place at a time. I hope I get to see you play, and we are working hard on making Freddie a continuing Ram at South Gate HS next season! Thank you to all of my players and parents. Coach Jackson, Ram Pride for life!!!
